About Us
ScenicHamilton.com
is the third in a series of internet ventures that started with ScenicBarrie.com.
We launched our Barrie site in 2001, and, through it,
profiled the city in a spectacular way, such as no city has ever been portrayed
before. There has been a tremendous response to ScenicBarrie.com, from locals
and from people around the world. Only eight months after launch, the site had
grown to 4000 pages, presenting thousands of scenic photos, a virtual tour of
the city and of its waterfront walking path, and involving over 400 businesses
and community groups. It gives a visual record of over 150 community events,
provides street search maps, and a calendar of upcoming community events, which
are photographed as they happen, and pictorially recorded on the site.
In 2001, the Canadian Newspaper Association gave ScenicBarrie.com its award for
Most Community-Involved Local Business, and the site has been profiled many times
on our local television station, in newspapers and business publications, and
continually on six local radio stations. Our photos have been used by our local
television studio as backdrops, as also in area publications, newspapers, special
editions, and on phone directory covers. The site continues to grow and flourish
in a very exciting way.
November of 2001 saw the launch of our second site, ScenicOrillia.com.
In just a few short months, it grew to a thousand-page web site, profiling
the area in
a remarkable way. Though the two sites bear a similarity, each uniquely portrays
its own city and surrounding area. They help to impart a sense of community.
Prospective tourists and those planning to move to the area are able to see
the city and area as a choice destination. Economic development is
enhanced by the
portrayal of each community as an excellent place in which to expand or start
a business.
June of 2002 saw the launch of our third site, ScenicHamilton.com. Hamilton,
Ontario is a city that people need to take a closer look at!
